Gala Hernández López is an artist, filmmaker, producer, and researcher. Her interdisciplinary practice spans film production, video installations, performances, and publications, using these varied media as pathways for epistemological exploration. Her work investigates new forms of subjectivation shaped by computational capitalism, examining the imaginaries and narratives circulating within virtual communities as well as the futures inspired by disruptive technologies—shared fictions that permeate our collective unconscious. At the heart of her practice lies an ecofeminist and critical sensibility that informs her research-based works, blending materialist analysis, poetry, intimacy, and dreams in order to dissect humanity’s desires for technoscientific control over reality.
